My favorite medium was the black and white project paper. The reason is because I liked how we had to cut our project with a exacto knife, and how bold the project looked with the black and white. I also enjoyed what I did for my project. I think the pyramids in the sand, at night was a good thing to do for the project. I also liked how it looked at the end.
The clay tile project was the project that reflects me the most. The reason is because when I think of insects, I think of the woods. And I love camping, going out into the woods. Because it's fun. The reason why I chose a spider on a log is to show the insects in the woods, and how I've actually seen two black widows in my life (not in zoos). I also like how they look, even though I'm terrified of them. The second one is how I've gotten better at adding details to my art. I also learned how to print, and how to make sure that everything isn't in the center when I'm making it. This helped me so my set will be more realistic and more pleasing to the eye. The perspective project was the most growth project for me. I was never good and drawing straight lines nor drawing in perspective. But after this project, I learned how to do both of those. I know how to draw in perspective and making sure that my lines are as neat as can be. I also learned about the artistic vision of perspective. Making sure that the lines go to the right sides, that the words are in perspective, and that everything makes sense. My least sucessful project was my canvas painting. He picture that I tried to paint was more complicated than I thought going into it. I didn't know how to mix the colors correctly and make it look good. I also used too much blue in the beginning for the sky, which made the colors start to look weird. What I would have done differently would be choosing a different picture (an easier one) to paint so I can get used to painting on a canvas. In my opinion, my Print Project was the most successful for me. The process to make this project was to make a sketch, choose one spot for the sketch, trace it on linoleum, then print it on paper with ink. The choices I made for the project did enhance it, such as adding the wrinkles to the elephant and the texture to its ears. For this project, I did not need more instructions. The instructions she gave us worked for me and allowed me to make this project at my best ability. |
